I worked closely with Daybreak to create a custom brand and website that conveyed the company's commitment to quality and the personal touch they offer to clients. The website design focused on the user experience and included easy-to-navigate menus, interactive charts, and a comprehensive search function. I developed an identity that is clear, approachable and has a quiet strength with a sophisticated color palette and logo that conveys professionalism and trust. 

The outcome

Lauren and Bill know that wealth management can seem like a daunting task. They wanted to find a way to make it less overwhelming for people, especially during life’s transitions. One day, in a moment of clarity, this idea of making a difference sketched itself out in their minds. An idea to help others with their finances by providing long-term financial advice and decision-making support. With that goal in mind, they decided to start their own wealth management firm, Daybreak Wealth.

Lauren and Bill needed to create a brand identity that reflected their mission and values, as well as a website that would showcase their services and provide a clean customer experience. The financial space is full of stuffy and intimidating brands with confusing websites filled with jargon. They wanted Daybreak Wealth to clearly stand apart from that. After reading about Meteor Street Studio in the Brilliant Brand Designers Edit, they understood our values to be a match and got in touch to commission an identity.

While Lauren and built did an impressive amount of pre-work in gaining clarity around their brand, there were a few more things that we need to uncover together to nail their vision. A core part of my design process is based on archetypes. As we narrowed in on their values and the tone they wanted to create around their services, it was revealed that their primary personality very closely aligns with the Mentor: a knowledgeable and trusted guide. I wanted to tie in some elements of the Citizen to help their brand feel more approachable and less intimidating.

To tie this into the website experience, I sourced soothing imagery to create a relaxed atmosphere. However, the website posed an interesting problem. As they are a financial organization, extra attention was made to adhere to advanced accessibility standards. The website design focused on the user experience and included easy-to-navigate menus, clean charts, and a clear contrast for readability. The site is also able to be easily scanned by all accessibility tools.

After a lot of diligent work, their creative was finally ready; an inviting website that looked warm, friendly, and professional. The final identity is elegant and welcoming, while still portraying trustworthiness and security. I developed a sophisticated color palette and logo that conveyed professionalism and confidence. 

It was at this point that Lauren and Bill felt truly confident that they had made the right decision. When they launched their website, they were overwhelmed with the positive response they received from their clients and potential customers alike.
